For those who don't know or for those that we didn't get a chance see in the rush leading up to our new adventure, we have decided to live in Berlin, Germany for the next few years. In the fall Chad was recruited by a gaming company named Wooga and they offered a position and experience that we simply couldn't say no to. Going back into games, let alone living in Germany, was never the plan but life happens and we've embraced all the amazing adventures this will bring our young family.
So, on January 5th we packed up our house, put many of our belongings into storage, and headed to LA in preparation for our next chapter. Upon landing at Tegel we were greeted by our patient driver who watched over a nervous Maya and Georgia as we sorted our massive amount of baggage and other gear. I don't think anyone mistook us for anything other then Americans - good!
Our relocation agent met us at our temporary flat where we concluded the first day in Germany. Day 2 was broadly taken up by learning the train system, getting Chad his work visa and getting the general lay of the land in our new city.
Our adventure is just beginning. We intend to post updates frequently. If you want to be alerted of new posts sign up for alerts and you will receive a notification when new posts are up. We have retained a US mailing address as well as a German address. If you need to reach us by mail, let us know and we'll send you one or both addresses.
If you're going to be traveling in Europe and would like to visit Berlin please let us know as we'd love to host you. We also intend to do a lot of traveling while we are here and welcome meeting up or planning side trips as desired.
